To balance the importance of assembling together (Matthew 18:20) with the safety of our attendees, SVRBC will begin conducting worship in a drive-in service format, beginning Sunday, May 17th. Please join us!
We want to assure you that all safety precautions are being taken while we assemble. We have confirmed with Sunnyvale Public Safety that our plans conform with the ongoing shelter-in-place restrictions.
If you have any questions or concerns, we will be glad to talk to you. You can reach us at 408-734-2297.
When will services take place? Services will begin at 11:00.
How will I know where to park? Ushers will escort cars to appropriate parking spots. Please follow their instruction.
How will people hear? Hopefully you will be able to hear from your car, but in order to make sure everyone can hear, we plan to broadcast the service with a near-range transmitter. Please tune in to 101.7FM to amplify the audio.
What about those who stay home? The service will be streamed to YouTube. You can watch it on our live stream page.
Will the restrooms be open? The church restroom will be for emergency use only. Please do all you can to prepare your family before coming so that they will not need to use the restroom.
Will there be singing? Attendees will be singing within their individual cars. To avoid the distribution of hymnals, we ask people to use their phones to follow along with the hymn singing. Lyrics can be found on our worship page. If you do not have a mobile device with internet capabilities, please consider bringing a printed copy of the hymns.
Will communion be served? An usher will deliver communion to each vehicle. Extra precautions will be taken to serve the Lord’s table safely. If you have not joined with us before, please know that SVRBC only serves communion to those who have received a believer’s baptism and are members of a church that shares our gospel of salvation through faith in Christ alone. If this does not apply to you, then we are happy to have you remember Christ’s death with us, but please decline the elements.
